The Smithville Community Coalition, Inc is recruiting candidates for consideration to join our Board of Directors
General Requirements:
- Enthusiastic support of the Smithville Revitalization Plan
- Act as an ambassador of the plan within the neighborhood, town, and county.
- Regular attendance at board meetings, and a frequent presence at community meetings and other SCC sponsored events
- Ability and experience working on a team in support of a mission
- 3 Year Term Commitment

Residents of Smithville or descendants of Smithville Families

Board or committee experience in a non-profit (501(c)3) or Church

Understanding of historic segregation in housing and its impact on neighborhoods like Smithville

One or more of the following skills and experiences: Legal, Finance, Accounting (CPA), Audit, Fund Raising, Home Construction, Human Resources, Affordable Housing Development, Banking and Home Mortgage, Government Regulatory Reporting & Compliance, Community Organizing, Social Services in support of Affordable Housing and/or Economic Mobility
